The Chicago Bulls and the National Basketball Association are set to make a major announcement on Friday, and fans are going to want to mark their calendars. Cleveland had previously been vying to host the league's next available All-Star Game, targeting the 2020 and 2021 exhibitions. Bulls star Michael Jordan not only dominated in a memorable Slam Dunk Contest, but he also won MVP honors as the Eastern Conference won 138-133 over the West.

The Bulls are now enduring the first year of a full-blown rebuild, parting ways with two of their best players this offseason when trading Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and agreeing to a buyout with Dwyane Wade.
