Chicago to host 2020 NBA All-Star Game

According to ESPN, the National Basketball Association is expected to announce on Friday that Chicago will hold its 2020 All-Star Game. The Bulls announced Thursday they would make a "major announcement" with the National Basketball Association on Friday at 2 p.m.at the United Center.

The last time the All-Star festivities were held in Chicago, Jordan put on quite a show. It will be held in Charlotte, N.C.in 2019.


The Chicago Bulls and the National Basketball Association are set to make a major announcement on Friday, and fans are going to want to mark their calendars. Cleveland had previously been vying to host the league's next available All-Star Game, targeting the 2020 and 2021 exhibitions. Bulls star Michael Jordan not only dominated in a memorable Slam Dunk Contest, but he also won MVP honors as the Eastern Conference won 138-133 over the West.

The Bulls are now enduring the first year of a full-blown rebuild, parting ways with two of their best players this offseason when trading Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and agreeing to a buyout with Dwyane Wade.
