Woman accused of burning hosts' ferret to death in oven
09 November 2017, 07:50 | Melissa Porter
Police believe that Clifford's motive was her fury at her roommate, Cara Murray, constantly stealing the suspect's clothes.
Clifford who is going on eight months pregnant told police that she cooked the pet as revenge for her roommate stealing clothes, adding that she didn't think Murray should have the animal on account of her pregnancy.
Murray told cops that Clifford and her husband were homeless and had been staying with her and another female roommate temporarily.
"The reason why she put our ferret in the oven is because Angel bit her, nipped her on the foot - just nipped her, didn't even draw blood - and that was it", Murray said.
Judge Gillian Abramsontold Clifford, "These allegations display a profound sense of sadism". Clifford, who is 32 weeks pregnant, also said her roommate shouldn't have the pet because of her pregnancy, police said. She is being held in custody on $10,000 bail.
Murray is left mourning the loss of her beloved pet.
WMUR reports that Murray and and her boyfriend, James Klimavich, have two other ferrets who they are "holding tightly" after Angel's death. I just don't understand. "It's sick. She's a sick, twisted girl". After firefighters evacuated the building, investigators traced the source of the fire to the oven, where the ferret was found "stuck to the bottom coil of the oven" with "linear burn marks on the side of its body that were consistent with the shape of the oven coil", court documents say.
Don't target MS Dhoni, says Virat Kohli
MS Dhoni has been criticised for his performance in the second T20 worldwide against New Zealand in Rajkot. The Indian skipper also advised the critics to leave the job of judging Dhoni to the player himself.
