Square Enix to support the the Switch "aggressively"

Farming Simulator Switch

Digging a little deeper, Square Enix specifically calls out the Switch as the "ideal platform to put mid-range games". That's soon about to change, however. The Japanese company says it is aggressively developing new games for Switch.

And there's still more to look forward to. It says that Nintendo doing well is great for them, and notes that Switch is in a unique position compared to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No price has been confirmed for the United Kingdom, but it will be sold on the US Nintendo eShop for $19.99. Whether players just want to spend half an hour or several hours the Switch Edition will let players become farmers wherever they go.

The Nintendo Switch version of Rocket League will retain the same addictive auto football gameplay, features and upgrades as other versions, along with some exclusive Nintendo-themed content. Players will be able to customize their cars with Super Mario color schemes, Mario and Luigi hats, and Mario-themed liveries. With the recent briefing, Square Enix has announced its future plans on the Nintendo Switch and bringing games to the West.

Farming Simulator Nintendo Switch™ Edition offers an immersive and huge open world loaded with farming activities and hundreds of acres of land to discover both at home and on the move!

If you have fond memories of playing the classic Game Boy game Penguin Wars back in the day, like your humble scribe, then you will no doubt be delighted to hear that the game is being revamped for the Switch by Dispatch Games and is planned for a release in early 2018.
