Grand Theft Auto V is the USA's best-selling videogame of all time

So, what game did GTA V steal the mantle of highest-selling ever from (with a wallop upside the head with a golf club before it stole the anthropomorphic game's car)?
In among the details of the company's financials is news that Grand Theft Auto V has sold 85 million units, an increase of 5 million since the last figures were revealed in May. If you include mobile sales, only Minecraft (122 million) and Tetris (170 million) have sold more copies than the latest entry in the GTA series.

"Looking ahead, we expect fiscal 2019 to be a record year for Net Bookings and net cash provided by operating activities led by the upcoming launches of Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2 and a highly anticipated new title from one of 2K's biggest franchises..."
Nearly half of Take-Two's earnings came from this category - we'd guess, mostly, Grand Theft Auto Online. Recurrent consumer spending, which covers virtual currency, add-on content, and microtransactions, grew 66% year-over-year and accounted for 48% of total net revenue. Rockstar also just released a new update that adds the P-45 Nokota single-seater plane and a 1-on-1 Dogfight mode to GTA Online. The game, originally released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, has also been rolled out to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
It is nearly unheard of that a 4-year-old game is still at the top of video game sales charts, but Grand Theft Auto V is an anomaly.
"We've said we aim to have recurrent consumer spending opportunities for every title we put out at this company", Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick commented, in quotes transcribed by Gamasutra.
In May, the company delayed the launch of "Red Dead" to spring 2018 from fall 2017, which had hurt its initial full-year forecast.
