Microsoft Edge for Android preview is now available in the Play store

One week after Microsoft announced that it would deliver Microsoft Edge on Android and iOS, the Android version of the mobile web browser is now publicly available in preview form too.

Microsoft Launcher comes with a touch of fluent design, the new design language is being used in the Windows 10 operating system and surprisingly Microsoft is also bringing some of the fluent design elements to the Android devices.

The feature included in Edge for Windows 10 is reading list, New Tab Page, and the reading view will all be included in iOS and Android. Now, the browser is available on all mobile OS, and that will give Microsoft the opportunity it needs to maybe "compete" with Google, Apple Mozilla Opera, and the likes in the browser market.

Last week, the company released a preview version of Edge for iOS via test flight beta channel. What that means again is that you might come across bugs and instability that could affect its performance.

Microsoft Edge's unique feature that sets it apart from other browsers is the "Continue on PC" function.

If you had signed up to be notified about Microsoft Edge's availability on Android, you may have received an email from the company. The Microsoft Edge app for Android is available globally, not just in the USA, and allows users to seamlessly work back and forth between a mobile device and a desktop PC. We'll undoubtedly be hearing more about these apps once the Fall Creators Update for Windows 10 drops, so stay tuned.

So you can head over to the Google Play Store and grab the app to get started. An interesting thing about this is if the user has stopped reading in Windows 10 of Edge, he can continue the same in Android where he has left reading in Windows 10 browser.
