It should come as no surprise then, that United are looking into making a proposal to Barcelona concerning a swap deal with Martial for Ivan Rakitic, according to Daily Star.
Henry, the former Arsenal striker who moved to Barcelona, believes Martial could progress to a similar level to him in the Premier League, which saw Henry named PFA Player of the Year on two occasions.
It's led to speculation over Martial's long-term future and the Express carried a report over the weekend that claimed Arsenal had seen an opening offer knocked back by United for his signature.
Rumours of interest in French worldwide Martial on the part of Barca spread like wildfire over the past week, with the Blaugrana having reportedly been highly impressed by the 21-year-old's start to the season.
The likes of PSG, Manchester City, Chelsea and even Manchester United have been linked with Sanchez, and he looks destined to leave, either in January or next summer.
The former golden ball victor who joined from Monaco two years ago under Louis Van Gaal for £56million has made a strong start to the campaign scoring five goals with five assists in nine appearances.
Indeed, having made such a superb start to the season as well as winning the Red Devils' Player of the Month award for September, it looks like Martial is relishing his duel with Marcus Rashford and is eager to go from strength to strength at Old Trafford to make up for an underwhelming 2016-17 campaign.
Martial considered the possibility of a loan move to Sevilla midway through last season but Mourinho was determined to keep hold of the young forward.
