'White Widow' Sally-Anne Jones believed to be killed

The Muslim convert fled Britain to join ISIS back in 2013 alongside toyboy lover Junaid Hussain, taking her then-nine-year-old son JoJo with her

British IS recruiter Sally-Anne Jones, dubbed the White Widow, has reportedly been killed in a U.S. drone strike.

It was claimed in July that Jones wanted to return from Syria to the United Kingdom but was being blocked from doing so by her 12-year-old son Jo-Jo who had been "brainwashed".

There haven't been many tears shed for Ms Jones, A Whitehall source told The Sun: "The Americans zapped her trying to get away from Raqqa".

The CIA told United Kingdom intelligence services that Jones was killed by a predator drone strike near the Syria-Iraq border in June, The Sun reports.

Jones had been going under the name Umm Hussain al-Britani, and issued threats against the United Kingdom from her twitter account, urging Muslim women to launch terrorist attacks during Ramadan.

In one conversation with an undercover journalist, Jones detailed the materials needed to make a bomb and said she could help construct a device remotely.

Responding to reports of Jones' death, a spokesman for the Foreign Office said: "We do not comment on matters of national security".

She was dubbed "The White Widow" by the United Kingdom press after Hussain was killed in a USA drone strike in 2015.

She used Twitter to try to encourage more female recruits to come forward and offered advice on travel to Syria. "She told me she wish to go to her country", Aisha said.

Major General Chip Chapman, the former MoD head of counter terror, told Sky News that Jones was a "significant" target for the U.S. and UK.

"If you take out those who are high value target women it is going to have an impact at the operation level of IS".

Jones was claimed to have helped plot the ISIS kidnapping and filmed beheading of a United States army vet, while she was also allegedly involved in the planning of a foiled nightclub shooting.
