Taylor Swift Surprised Fans On Instagram & They Totally Freaked Out

Taylor Swift Announces Two Live Performances For December 2017

She'll kick off tour in San Jose, California for radio station 99.7 Now!'s Poptopia on December 2 and will be in Chicago for B96's Jingle Bash on December 7. Taylor Swift drops a single months before releasing an album and then goes into hiding until we're ready to stan for it.

The shows will also feature singer Khalid, The Backstreet Boys, Niall Horan and Logic, among many others. She's also been active on Tumblr.

The 27-year-old star used to regularly engage with fans online, but exiled herself from social media earlier this year.

The superstar got super personal with her supporters, asking them about their projects, pets and health during the social media spree. Whatever the case is, Swift was craving some good, old-fashioned attention when she tried to get fans to notice her.

Instagram allows users to broadcast live to their followers on the social media platform, and Taylor used the service to peer into her fans' lives.

The star was known for her responsiveness on social media, and a year ago even surprised one fan by turning up to their wedding. She wrote, "the cats are alive and well". She may not have been pleased to instead spark news stories about the fact that she asked fans to purchase her merchandise to increase their chance at scoring concert tickets.

The country-pop crossover's forthcoming album, Reputation, is set for release on November 10 2017.
