Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi: Carrie Fisher's Leia ENDING in Episode 9 teased by Mark Hamill

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Trailer Out: Late Carrie Fisher Makes An Appearance

The film includes Mark Hamill, the original Luke Skywalker, and the late, great Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. We got to see Rey training with a lightsaber, Luke freaked out by her power level, Kylo Ren facing off against Leia in a space battle, Finn and Phasma going head to head, and much more. Lupita Nyong'o also reprises her role as Maz Kanata.

Rian Johnson, the film director for the Episode VIII of the Star Wars saga, previously advised fans to keep away from the trailer if they don't want any spoilers.

To watch the trailer click on the video player below. You hear "Ben" AKA Kylo saying to kill the past, and that's the only way to become what you're meant to be.

Kylo and Daisy Ridley's Rey are the main focus of the two-and-a-half minute clip, with the film tackling the next chapter of Rey's epic journey.

Going back to The Force Awakens, the novelisation of that fleshes out the duel between Rey and Kylo Ren.

"I need someone to show me my place in all this", Rey says as the trailer closes.

Rey's clearly got the goods to be a powerful Jedi: we see solid rock crack from her power as she meditates, and Luke reacts with surprise - and alarm.

There is footage of Snoke, Supreme Leader of the First Order, trying to convert Rey to the dark side. He says "I've seen this raw strength only once before". It didn't scare me enough then.

A lot of Internet users were absolutely mesmerized by what they've seen and are now eager to watch the second installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

"Fulfil your destiny", Snoke commands, as it cuts to a distressed Rey battling with huge power. It's evident she doesn't know what to do with all the Jedi power she commands, and Kylo may be the only one who can help her. We won't know until December 15. But the new trailer brings up so many more questions. What we can be sure of is that, as the release date of The Last Jedi approaches, Porg-fever will increase.

There will also be some opening night festivities at select IMAX theaters, including a special concession offer and the release of collectible Star Wars trading cards.
