Hurricane Nate: When Ohio Will Be Impacted

There may be a few breaks in the clouds later in the day with highs in the lower 70s.

Nate will not bring hazardous weather to the Richmond area, but even some occasional rain would be the most this area has seen in several weeks.

The remnants of Hurricane Nate are expected to rain out some outdoor Columbus Day festivities in the Bay State as well as bring the potential for heavy downpours. Our tropical steam bath continues with highs in the mid-70s to near 80.

- Rain, heavy at times this morning through about 12-3pm.

Mostly cloudy, very warm and humid with only a SLIGHT chance for a passing shower. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s Monday under cloudy skies. Lows in the mid 60s, highs in the mid 70s.

"The heaviest rain is likely to develop to the immediate north and northeast of the storm center", according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Brett Rossio.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a few showers and a possible storm. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. However, unlike Irma and Harvey, Nate is not expected to intensify into a major hurricane, with a lesser chance of intensifying into a Category 3 or higher. Wind will continue to push from the south at 10-15 miles per hour.

Nate is likely to maintain a swift pace upon moving inland. The clouds and showers knock highs back to the mid 70s. That is leading to more showers and thunderstorms across the region today, adding a flood threat for ground already soaked from the weekend.
