iPhone 8 likely to hit S. Korea on Nov. 3: sources

Apple iPhone X video with dynamic wallpapers spotted online ahead of November 3 sale

On Oct 6, Apple confirmed it knows about the issue that is affecting some of its newest iPhone models, which became available Sept 22.

The price of the iPhone 8 starts at $699, while the listed price tag for the 8 Plus starts at $799.

It is not the first time the iPhone has faced battery problems. Some industry experts speculate it could hit Korea early next year.

Armed with the Apple's new "A11 Bionic", the new iPhone was first released on September 22 in 25 select countries, including the U.S., Japan, China, Australia and Britain.

The world's second-largest smartphone producer after Samsung Electronics already began delivering the 4.7-inch iPhone 8 and 5.5-inch 8 Plus to the first batch of countries, including the United States, China and Japan, on September 22. Preorders for the iPhone X, pronounced 10, will begin on October 27 in 57 countries across the globe, with shipping scheduled to kick off on November 3.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Plus held the number three spot, followed by iPhone 6s and Galaxy S8 in in fourth and fifth places, respectively.

Charging overnight is a big no-no when it comes to phones, but the fact that it was a new model and the others are as well suggests that the fault lies with the battery.

We don't actually get to Samsung's 2017 flagship - the Samsung Galaxy S8 - until slot five, with the Galaxy S8+ coming in at sixth, although it was a close race, with the latter selling in "slightly less volume". The issue began with 2 units in Taiwan and Japan about 2 weeks ago and has now increased to 4 more units across multiple countries including Canada, Greece, and Hong Kong.
