Hrithik Roshan lauds better reviews of Farhan Akhtar's 'Lucknow Central' over 'Simran'

Box Office: Worldwide Collections and Day wise breakup of Lucknow Central

The film is directed by Ranjit Tiwari and produced by Nikhil Advani, under the banner of Emmay Entertainment. However, things begin gingerly here as well, with Farhan Akhtar not quite seeming like the Moradabad boy - Kishan Mohan Girhotra - that he is supposed to be. The film also casting Deepak Dobriyal, Rohit Roy, Inaamulhaq and Rajesh Sharma in the supporting roles.

However, the movie is set against the backdrop of a jail, is the story of an inmate who is wrongfully put behind bars and is forced to opt for the unlawful path to get his much-deserved freedom. Diana Penty is playing a role of an NGO worker her name is Gayatri Kashyap in the film. However, the film is generating the best business among all three Bollywood flicks released on this Friday.

Whereas on the other side Simran movie has received much support and love from audiences. Farhan Akhtar's film is expected to do good box office business in the upcoming days as the film is getting good word of mouth which will surely increase the box office collection of the film.

Farhan Akhtar's Lucknow Central is also struggling to make an impact as far as box office numbers are concerned. On Friday, Lucknow Central had a clash with Kangana Ranaut's crime thriller Simran, which has made slightly higher that Farhan's film. It is being said that the total collection of the movie has now crossed Rs four crore mark. After a disastrous opening with the collection of 2.04 crores, the movie saw a growth of 38% on its second day.
