This iTunes hit song is 10 minutes of silence

Why iTunes users are buying this 10-min song of absolute silence

A silent, 10-minute song is climbing the iTunes charts

So what this song does is, instead of listening to the first song queued on your iphone, Samir Mezrahi's silent song titled "A a a a a Very Good Song" plays in utter silence. So you have enough time to search your phone and play the track you actually want.

Essentially, since iPhone plays music alphabetically whenever you plug it into many music systems, that usually means there's one song that you hear whether you want to or not.

However this problem might have been solved by a certain Samir Mezrahi who recently uploaded a 10 minute track onto iTunes (via AppleInsider) dubbed "A a a a a Very Good Song" that basically gives users 10 minutes worth of silence (9 minutes 58 seconds to be exact) so that they can select their own playlist before the song starts blasting in their auto. Right now it sits at #67, ahead of tunes by artists like Kendrick Lamar, Kesha, Selena Gomez, The Chainsmokers and a number of other popular, well-established acts. On the one hand, it's clearly a joke, but on the other Apple benefits from every sale. The blank song is available for 99 cents on the iTunes Store, with an alphabetically ideal title.

If a certain playlist keeps auto-playing, put this track at the top. A new solution has emerged, however, in the form of a "song" that runs for 10 minutes with nothing but silence.
