Hamilton Releases Exclusive Show-Based iPhone and Android App

Hamilton Chicago

The app will also soon include an enhanced #EduHam experience - which is a program that provides New York City public school students with the chance to see Hamilton on Broadway and integrate it into the classroom. At first, hopefuls could only enter by dropping their name into a box outside the Broadway theater in NY. One question that people might be asking is, just how much are they going to spend to see "Hamilton"? Officially opening August 16, Hamilton will play at the Pantages Theatre through December 30.

This is a record-breaking number for the Pantages Theater, with no show reaching this average in the past - and this projection is for its opening month.

The Pantages is offering orchestra seats starting at $650, while verified resale tickets are available from $236 for rear mezzanine. Scalpers and other ticket outlets would definitely seek to make money out of the Broadway phenomenon. So, maybe the lottery won't be the only way to get tickets using the app in the future.

The play focuses on the story of one of America's Founding Fathers, Alexander Hamilton. "Get ready for what's next!" said Creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in a statement. "Hamilton" has been playing to sold-out audiences in NY for more than two years. The music features a blend of hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap and R&B. The musical won 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Score, Book of a Musical, Direction of a Musical, Choreography, and Orchestrations. There is no limit to the number of times you can enter over during the musical's run, which continues through December 30, 2017.
