Why Eastwatch Could Be a Pivotal Location on Game of Thrones

Guys, There Are Only 9 Episodes Left of Game of Thrones EVER

"Although since the day the battle aired, I've been a little unpopular, I have to say".

Last week's episode "Spoils of War" saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) finally ride her dragon Drogon into battle against the Lannister forces that had raided the Tyrell's cache of gold, and it's fair to say that she and Drogon, along with the help of her Dothraki army absolutely decimated nearly everybody on the battlefield. "My postman won't speak to me because I shot the dragon".

The "Loot Train Attack" scene ended in a cliffhanger sequence that turned out to be totally badass.

In real life, numerous stars of Game of Thrones face public backlash due to their characters' actions. However, there is at least one person who seemingly lost the love of most of his fanbase. It was a stunning and incredible scene (this behind-the-scenes video tells you how they did it), which culminated in Bronn (played by Jerome Flynn) shooting Drogon down with huge arrow shot out of a cannon-type contraption.

"I was surprised when I was watching it. I've gotten emails saying 'Best episode ever!' and it's really gratifying".

In fact, the actor said he did actually get to shoot the crossbow-dragon-killer thing. "It was all part of the sequence and training". A couple of fan favourite characters did manage to survive however, with Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn) left in the river close to the fight.

The poor dragon! "The armorers on this show are just geniuses, and they try to make everything as authentic as possible", he said, adding that he really shot the piece of equipment during filming.

The struggle of not wanting Jamie & Bronn to die and also not wanting Dany & dragon to die.

"I think it depends on if you care for him", he said. The title of the episode supports this, as Eastwatch-By-The-Sea is the name of a castle on the Wall; it's the one where Tormund and the Brotherhood Without Banners were all heading last we saw them, in fact.
