Daily Afternoon Rain & Storms

Daily Afternoon Rain & Storms

Friday's temperatures across the west will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, with the Grand Junction area seeing upper 80s.

Late this afternoon and into this evening, storms will likely develop across western and northwestern North Texas. There will be enough instability out east to pose a threat for strong to severe storms east of the Central Mountains - focused over the northeast corner. Greatest chance for storms will be Sunday night into Monday. Storms should diminish overnight.

Then as we move into the new work week another frontal boundary will set up along the I-20 corridor and stall out sending Acadiana waves of energy each afternoon sparking off a 50% chance for scattered showers and storms Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures each afternoon will generally be in the upper 80s to lower 90s, just depending on where and when it rains each day.

A lot of us started today on a rain free note for the first time in a while. It will be another hot and humid summer day, with high temperatures in the lower 90s. Wind: SE 5-10. High: 85.

Slight chance of showers tomorrow, with most of the area staying dry. Some lake-effect, very stray showers could pop up on Saturday, but development will fight drying from the high pressure so chances are extremely low.
