Blizzard, the Pablo Escobar of video games, have teamed up with the properly shady Lich King, and have gotten themselves some banging toot going down local boozer and they plan to throw down.

IGN Reacts to the new Hearthstone: Knights of the Frozen Throne cards.

In a recent statement, Blizzard Entertainment confirmed that the upcoming game expansion will go live on Thursday, Aug. 10. But when faced with the unholy fury of the Lich King himself, what happens when the heroes fall from the light?

The Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion will also introduce a series of free single player missions to the game over the coming weeks, similar to previous Hearthstone adventures. Complete a special Arena quest each week to be rewarded with a Knights of the Frozen Throne card pack that you can open once Knights of the Frozen Throne arrives.

Knights of the Frozen Throne will be available to users on August 10th.

Even if you don't buy the expansion, you'll still get access to eight free missions.

It's also worth remembering that Blizzard has changed its card pack rules, so expect to see fewer duplicates and no duplicate Legendaries anymore. In addition to all of the above, anyone logging-in now will be awarded three Knights packs to get you up and running. These enable players to transform their mediocre characters into more powerful death knights.
