HTC U11 Gets 1080p 60fps Video Recording and Bluetooth 5.0 With Firmware Update

HTC U11

According to the latest report, HTC U11 Life, which is the alleged name of the phone, will feature a 5.2-inch screen.

HTC, on the testimony of insiders, intends this year to introduce another smartphone that has a direct relationship to the current flagship U11. It's not expected to be so technically impressive, but is likely to bring numerous features that make the U11 desirable to a more reasonably priced, smaller device.

The U11 Life may not equal the U11 in power, but numerous best U11 features should still be present.

The update is supposed to bring a few new features that weren't available in the HTC U11 at launch, such as improved video recording and connectivity features. A fresh image of the smartphone has appeared and it is now speculated to debut as HTC U11 Life.

The front camera is unchanged – 16MP – but the excellent 12MP rear camera has been swapped out for another 16MP shooter. This means that the company is not hesitating to bring the new feature to other non-flagship smartphones as well. It's not finished for 2017 either, and rumors are to be believed, it will release another phone similar to the U11 called the U11 Life. The device will be waterproof, and like its bigger sibling, it will lack the 3.5mm headphone jack. However, don't take our word for that and wait for the official info.

The company reported net losses of NT$1.95 billion (US$64.2 million) for the April-to-June quarter, the ninth straight unprofitable quarter, translating to losses of NT$2.37 per share.
