Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attend

Much to the disappointment of millions of fans around the globe, former Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt chose to part ways past year, citing "irreconcilable differences".

A source has claimed that the two A-listers, who separated last summer, have stalled their legal separation and are now not moving forward with proceedings to end their marriage.

An insider told a portal, "The divorce is off". Another insider insisted: "Everyone thinks they are going to get back together".

According to Daily Mail, Angelina previously claimed that she would consider taking his husband back. Jolie is allegedly regretting her decision to split from Pitt: "She's still so in love with him". But in June, the actress, 42, along with Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11 and 9-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, unpacked in a newly purchased 11,000 square-foot mansion in L.A.'s Los Feliz neighborhood. We're all just healing from the events that led to the filing.

"He got sober to try and win her back", explains the source.

After the announcement of their divorce, Brad and Angelina discussed some of their marital issues in separate interviews as well as the effects of these in their children.

"It's just been the hardest time, and we're just kind of coming up for air". However, Brad was later cleared of the allegations.

Brad confessed on GQ about his alcohol addiction saying, "I was boozing too much".

A source is quoted as telling the publication, "The divorce is off".

"I can't remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn't boozing or had a spliff, or something.I'm really, really happy to be done with all of that". But even this previous year, you know - things I wasn't dealing with.

'It wouldn't be surprising if they announced that they're calling [the split] off and trying to work things out'.

They married in an intimate ceremony on August 23, 2014 in Correns, France.
