Jio Effect: RCom Launches Unlimited Calls, Internet Data For Rs.299

Reliance Communications in a tweet on Wednesday stated, "Reliance Mobile introduces the lowest rates ever!" Other 84GB plans include Rs 293 plan that offers unlimited local, STD calls on Airtels' network, and a Rs 449 with that gives and unlimited local and STD calls. The Rs 299 plan offers unlimited texts, data as well as calls. However, the exact details of the new plan have not yet been announced. "Starting at Rs 299 monthly rental", RCom in a tweet said. The company is led by Anil Ambani and recently reported a loss of Rs 948 crore for the Q4, 2017, mainly due to the free calls and data provided by Jio.

Just to note, Rcom is owned by Mukesh Ambani's brother Anil Ambani and is now struggling to stay afloat in the face of steep competition in the Indian market. As per reports by NDTV Gadgets, the newly launched Rs 399 plan offers users with 1GB data per day for 84 days.

Also with a JioMedia share device, Jio broadband offer will come and a smart set top box, routers and power line communication media in a bid to promote additional Jio services. Additionally, customers can also get a Wi-Fi dongle "Wi-Pod" worth Rs 3,200 under the bundled offer for free. It offers 70 GB data with unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone local and STD calls.

The company has also introduced a new Rozana offer with 1GB data per day and 30 minutes of calls per day to any network at Rs. 193. Earlier, RCom Merged its wireless business with Aircel while it has received 99.99% shareholders.

In the telecom sector, it has just a year since the launch of Reliance Jio and the company has created waves of disruption with first, its free offer period of six months and second, the range of aggressively priced offers that have forced the incumbent operators to drop their tariffs too.
