Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Emperor Edition Rumoured: 6GB RAM & 256GB Storage

Are Samsung and Apple just copying each other now? It's gearing up to reveal the Galaxy Note 8 at the end of this month, and now that a new flagship is about to hit the scene, launching a new variant like this could be a way for Samsung to get some fresh faces looking at the Galaxy S8.

Samsung is going to reveal the Note 8 on 23 August at an event in NY.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 phablet has been long-rumoured to come with a dual camera, the first for a Samsung smartphone.

However, it does raise the question of whether there will be a 128GB mid-tier, or rather a higher-tier storage option of the regular, non-Emperor Galaxy Note 8. It is believed that the whole display could be pressure sensitive now. Apple launched the feature in its iPhones through the iPhone 6s and has since included it in all succeeding iPhone models except the iPhone SE. As per ETNews, Samsung is planning to add support for Force Touch AKA 3D Touch, but it's not clear if the feature will be centered on the home button or anywhere on the screen. With that being said, Galaxy Note 8 will be available in eight color variants and they are: Arctic Silver, Deep Sea Blue, Gold, Coral Blue, Dark Blue, Midnight Black, Violet and Orchid Grey.

Samsung released a 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM version of the Galaxy S8, but there were only 150,000 units and it was only on sale in the company's home market of South Korea. However, it is unclear what kind of functions Samsung will build into the Galaxy Note 8 that will take advantage of the technology.
