The beauty and scope of the first Blade Runner 2049 trailer (which also surprisingly confirmed the return of Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard) as good as confirmed that it was the right time for the franchise to come out of retirement. In the long-awaited sequel, Blade Runner 2049, Deckard will resurface after three decades on the run. And they aren't shy about attempting to permanently silence him!

Although there are still many details that we don't know about Villeneuve's upcoming film, we do know that Ryan Gosling stars as Officer K and, for some reason, he's searching for Deckard, so that he can ask him some questions. It's hard to tell without the full context, but either Deckard just outed himself as a Replicant or someone wanted to eliminate the Blade Runners. It depicts Ryan Gosling, as LAPD Officer K, searching for Deckard, who appears to be hiding out in some kind of replicant commune or concentration camp.

It looks like the former LAPD cop who hunted down replicants all those years ago has been on the run himself.
