The terrifying incident happened on Friday morning in La Marque, Texas, when a Dodge Durango SUV hit a stopped Union Pacific freight train, According to CNN.

LA MARQUE, Tx-Police in Texas were in the process of helping two people whose auto had crashed into a stopped train, when unexpectedly that train started to move.

The cop continues: 'Go to the front of the train, tell them to stop moving.

"God, hold tight man", the officer frantically said to the couple in the SUV. "You're fine man, you've been in an accident", the officer said to the driver, who was asking for help.

Then, without warning, the train suddenly took off, dragging the stuck SUV with it.

Then the officer lets loose a string of swear words as the train unexpectedly started rolling again. "Tell them to stop moving". They're dragging the auto, there are people still inside'.

"Get them to stop, stop that train!", the officer yells.

He ran to an ambulance and asked them to help. "They're dragging this auto". When the officer arrived on scene, he started trying to get the two people trapped inside the vehicle out. Eventually, a fire truck was able to alert the train conductor to stop. "We're getting them to stop", he yelled. The people inside the vehicle were flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. The driver, a man who has not been publicly identified by police, was last listed in serious condition.

Police say the engineer did not realize the SUV was wedged under the train before moving.
