Ryan Phillippe hospitalized for leg injury

While the Shooter star doesn't seem to be in the happiest of moods, he gives the camera a solid thumbs-up with his right hand. The actor shared the news on social media, sharing a photo of his bandaged cast.

Phillippe responded to fan speculation that he hurt himself doing a stunt for his US series "Shooter", saying he wasn't anywhere near the set. The 42-year-old thanked first responders and paramedics for their help. He said in an interview with Collider published in November that he insisted on doing all of his own stunts for the show.

No word if it's a work related injury, but Ryan captioned the pic, "I'm going to be ok and I appreciate your concern".

"You know, it's a tough show to shoot". Ryan recently dished on returning to the genre for the film.

He continued by saying: "I thought it would be kind of fun for me now, as an adult, to play a parent in a film that was like those that I started my career with".
