Canon EOS 6D Mark II with 26.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor launched in India

Canon launches'EOS 6D Mark II DSLR camera in India

Canon confirmed to ship EOS 6D Mark II at the end of this month in three kit variations- body only for Rs 1,32,995, with 24-105mm f4L IS USM II lens at Rs 1,84,995 and with the 24-105mm f3.5-5.6 STM lens at Rs 2,02,995.

The device gets a price tag of Rs 1,32,995, but remember it's the cost of the body only.

Last month, Canon launched its new EOS 6D Mark II Full Frame DSLR globally and now its available in India for Rs 1,32,995. This year too when Canon has the 5D Mark IV already in the market, chances are that it will be selling more 6D Mark II because of its nearly half the price and a smaller body while retaining the most of the features that are there in the 5D series cameras. It comes with 26.3 megapixel CMOS Sensor. Now, using this DSLR you can shoot up to 6.5 frames per second, which is a decent speed. A 24mm lens will theoretically capture an image with 24mm with this camera. "On cameras like this, it's a very heavy format and very large file", a Canon representative explained to Gizmodo and other news outlets, highlighting the company's positioning of the cameras as being closer to entry level, and 4K not being an entry level feature. With 6D Mark II, Canon has tried to make the UI more user-friendly with more language support, easily accessible menu etc. The camera has an ISO range of ISO 100-40000 (expandable range 50- 102,400). In PDAF based cameras, the mirror goes up and light falls straight on the sensor so that the camera can offer a much accurate focus in less time. Additionally, the device has built in GPS, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi Fi support to share photos directly from the camera. This is one area where Canon is relatively behind compared to Nikon so I don't expect it to match the metering and tracking abilities of something like Nikon D750 but the difference should be minimal. This is one area where Canon is relatively ahead of Nikon. "With a full frame sensor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF and vari-angle touch panel, the EOS 6D Mark II, will appeal to both still and video audiences allowing them to experience the world of full-frame imaging in new and interesting ways". The EOS 6D Mark II is a camera that will excel in a vast variety of genres.
