"Anytime" is Amazon's entry in the messaging app business?

"Anytime" is Amazon's entry in the messaging app business?

Amazon also sees the service as a way for shoppers to interact with companies. They now host an online marketplace, a music streaming service, a video streaming service and super fast delivery services.

As it continues to expand its own ecosystem, Amazon may have a new messaging app on the horizon.

Chat with businesses. Get super service, on your terms: make reservations, check on your orders, and even shop!

E-commerce giant Amazon appears to be planning for its own full-featured, standalone messaging app called Anytime. Amazon also says that the app will support business chat, a feature being worked on by Facebook and Apple as well.

One of the big positives is that it doesn't rely on users knowing each other's phone numbers, like with Whatsapp and others.

Will be "private and secure" by encrypting important messages, such as bank accounts.

Nearly everyone who owns a smartphone uses one or more messaging apps to communicate not only with family and friends, but with businesses and services too.

While Anytime hasn't been confirmed by Amazon, signs seem to point to the app being the real deal.

The Anytime app may focus on voice and video call, apart from the messaging. The cream of the cake will be its ability to avail Amazon services like music and food ordering (and other shopping) within the app itself. Presently the company is running a survey before launching this app. Sharing such details would be important in this kind of app, especially because since it's from Amazon. As few months back it launched an App Chime, similar to Skype for video conferencing.
