ZTE launches a $99 phone with a fingerprint sensor

ZTE's new Blade Spark brings near-stock Nougat and a 'selfie button' to AT&T for $99

After launching the Blade V7 Plus smartphone in Russian Federation and Australia, Chinese smartphone maker ZTE on Saturday updated its "Blade" series smartphone portfolio with the launch of an another budget-oriented handset, "ZTE Blade Spark" in the USA tech market.

The ZTE Blade Spark will is available from AT&Ts website today and in a select number of stores for the aforementioned price of $99.

The fingerprint reader aside, there's not much to say about the Blade Spark. It is powered by Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. "It sports a 5.5" HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie shooter, and a 3140mAh battery. Talking about its software front, the smartphone runs on Google's latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.


13 MP Rear-facing camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), 4160 x 3120 resolution and 4x zoom. A 3,140mAh battery keeps the juices flowing.

ZTE Blade Spark phone featuresWith a dedicated selfie button located on the side of the prepaid phone, you can take quick, spontaneous photos of you and your friends even when the phone is locked.

Further, the device weighs around 173.4 grams, and it measures 6.14 x 3.06 x 0.38 inches.
