Donald Trump has continued his state visit to France by attending a Bastille Day parade, where a military band played an medley of Daft Punk songs. Later, he remarked that she was "beautiful". According to a video on the French government's Facebook page, Trump admired country's first lady for being in "such good shape".

"You're in such good shape", he told her, before turning to the French President and saying: "She's in such good physical shape". A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

Earlier on Thursday, the 39-year-old French leader said he had a "strong disagreement. about the climate" deal with Mr Trump, adding, "I hope in the end to be able to persuade him".

It was the president's most detailed remarks since his Donald Trump Jr. released emails revealing that he had met with Veselnitskaya previous year after an entertainment publicist hold him the lawyer had damaging information about Hillary Clinton that came from the Russian government.

Trump first met the French president in May, shortly after Emmanuel was elected.

Paris tightened security before the annual Bastille Day parade, which this year is being opened by American troops with Trump. "We'll see what happens. If it happens, that will be wonderful, and if it doesn't, that'll be OK too", Trump said.

In another video, it appeared Trump tried to kiss the French president's wife on her lips, but Brigitte turned his cheek instead.

"I didn't know until a couple of days ago when I heard about this", Trump told Reuters about the meeting.

He then looked at Macron and joked, "You better do a good job, please. Otherwise, you're going to make me look bad".
