Kane wants hat trick in WCQ vs Scotland
20 May 2017, 03:30 | Charlene Valdez
Harry Kane has warned Scotland he wants a Hampden hat trick as he turned his attention to rediscovering his scoring touch for England.
Wright's comments come after Kane became the Premier League's leading goal scorer with just one game left, after bagging himself four goals against Leicester on Thursday night.
"That would be nice, " the 23-year-old said, when asked about a possible hat trick against Scotland.
'I was looking to get one or two goals at least and then hopefully take it into the last game, now I'm in the driving seat at the minute but there's still one game to play so I'm not resting on my laurels.
"It is going to be a lively game", he added.
Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur is congratulated by his Manager / Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the Premier League match between Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur at The King Power Stadium on May 18, 2017 in Leicester, England.
And Pochettino hopes the experience will stand them in good stead next term, when they have to play their home games at Wembley while White Hart Lane is rebuilt.
Kane now sits on 75 Premier League goals, so he has some way to beating Shearer's record of 26o, but he is only 23 and barring injuries and if he continues at the same rate he could do it.
Assuming Kane doesn't score against Hull on Sunday, he would need to score 25 goals next season to hit 100 career league goals, at age 24.
Kane has already turned his attention to 2017-18, targeting 100 goals as he now sits on 75 Premier League strikes.
Runners-up Tottenham go to Hull, with Kane having scored 70 times in his last 90 top-flight appearances to take his overall tally to 75 goals.
The Argentinian said: "Of course". If I could have another season like this then hopefully I can get there. "It would be a fantastic achievement", Kane added. I know I'm sure that he will be anxious.
"For us to keep our best players, a lot of clubs are interested in them but the players we want to keep will be here next season", Pochettino told BBC Sport.
Spurs have three players with 20 or more goals in all competitions this season (Kane, Alli and Son) - no other club in the Premier League or Football League have more than one player with 20 or more goals.
