Semi-truck driver obliviously drags vehicle after crash in El Cajon pass

Steimke approaches the truck driver after coming to a stop, and asks him why he continued to drive. Others drivers honk to get the drivers attention.

California Highway Patrol officials confirmed the crash was not being treated as a criminal incident. Luckily, the sedan's driver was uninjured despite the significant damage to his vehicle.

"Why were you driving so far?" "He's on your truck", Steimke exclaims.

It shows the red Nissan Maxima with its front right end crushed under the truck being pulled along the highway, as smoke comes from the vehicle and its tires.

The driver of the Nissan was not seriously injured, and was dragged less than a mile.

The car's driver said to Steimke: "He's not stopping".


"I didn't know it", the driver responds.

"What do you mean you didn't even know it - he is on your truck".

The truck, which was labeled Mike Lowrie Transport of Dixon, outside Sacramento, was hauling two containers labeled Grimway Farms.

When CHP arrived at the scene, they did not detect any signs of impairment in Maestas, checking his log book which was in compliance.

The Nissan driver was not hospitalized.

Still stuck to the back of the huge vehicle, the auto was dragged along a Californian freeway for miles.
