Drop Everything & Watch This Perfect & Tear-Inducing Carrie Fisher Tribute

20 April 2017, 05:09 | Myron Mathis

The actress was donning a custom white Tom Ford dress with flowy leaves at the event, which took place in Orlando, Florida.

During the event, Lourd gave a attractive speech in memory of Fisher and spoke of how important Star Wars and Princess Leia were to her life.

Both Fisher and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, died just one day apart in December.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, he said: "She played a part that was very smart, and she was having to hold her own against two big lugs, goofballs that were screwing everything up".

"There are not very many people like her".

The tribute video had revealed that Fisher still memorized Princess Leia's message to Obi-Wan in A New Hope, and her daughter Billie had apparently memorized the dialogue as well.

"Feeling the ultimate strength of the force from all of the incredible fans at #starwarscelebration after our tribute to my #momby", Lourd wrote via Instagram along with a photo in which she is all decked out in white. "The strong soldier she was and the vulnerable side, who fought her own dark side. We'll all love her forever and ever". And I wanted to be here with all of you because I know that many of you feel the same way. How you resisted. In our world, Star Wars became a religion and a way of life. She could spend hours talking to people and learning about their lives, and how Star Wars and Leia touched them in the same way it touched us.

We love that Billie made her first public red carpet appearance for this special event and the fact that she honored her mother in such an adorable way is heartwarming. She ended by reciting three things her mother taught her, concluding with, "the most evolved person is seemingly a contradiction".
