Before the episode aired, Kardashian took to Twitter to explain why she made a decision to open up on her family's popular reality show about her frightening experience. As Us Weekly reported, according to the transcript, Kardashian thought the robbers were "terrorists" trying to kidnap her. "And I fully mentally prepped myself and then he didn't and he duct taped my legs together", an emotional Kim told the camera with a choking voice.
In the episode, Kim explained to her sisters Kourtney and Khloe what the robbery was like for her in detail. Kim explained. "He pulls me towards him at like the front of the bed and I thought, "OK, this is the moment you're going to rape me".
She had been on her own that evening as her bodyguard Pascal Duvier had been out with her sister Kourtney, and Kim remembers thinking of her sister finding her body during what she thought was her final moments.
Over $12 million worth of jewellery was taken, including reportedly a jewellery box worth $6.7 million (£5.2 million) and a ring worth $4.5 million (£3.4 million), both believed to be personal items of Kim's. Ten suspects have since be charged in connection with the robbery.
Kim pleaded with the robbers, telling them she had a family, begging them to let her live. "What I think happened now, after thinking about it so much, is that there was probably a group of guys that were following us the entire trip", she revealed in a chat with her sisters on last night's show. "They were aggressive. I thought they were terrorists who had come to kidnap me".
After the incident, the 36-year old TV reality star admitted that she "learned some valuable lessons & feel [s] so blessed to be safe home w [sic] my babies & husband". I wanted to tell you because it was such a profound feeling: every evening in Paris, I prayed and thanked that nothing had happened to us, "she confessed".
She said: "I'm freaking out, I look in my rear view mirror and he was standing right there". Either they're gonna shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don't, if the elevator does not open in time, or the stairs are locked, then like, I'm f***ed.
Kim revealed that back in the room her mouth was taped to keep her from screaming.
"Tonight's episode is going to be very tough for me", she shared. "I know how these things go". They can't understand, but please tell them. She recounted, "A few weeks before our arrival, they sent an SMS text message to my assistant, Stephanie [Sheppard], offering a free transport service, which they had never done before".
